The year 2011 is fully for Kate Middeton.

2011 has been momentous for news of revolutions, toppled dictators, dead public figures, scandals and expensive natural disasters. With all these world-changing events, it can't be easy to forget on the part of Princess Kate Middleton.

The newly minted Duchess won the heart of both Prince William and the world, with her easy grace and shiny so shiny! hair. She was runner-up for Time Magazines Person of the year (The Protester won), and was recently named 2011s best-mannered person (The worst? Kim Kardashian.) Her uterus even made our year-end list of whats in and out, replacing her sister Pippas posterior as the royal body part fueling national speculation.

But mostly, we just envied the way she looked, the dresses and hats she wore and the ease with which she adapted to her new role in the public eye. When it comes to fashion, the Duchess hasnt made a single misstep. Here are some of her most memorable looks.

Emma Watson and Justin Bieber: the owner of the most influential haircuts of 2011.

Hermione of Harry Potter series Emma Watson and heart throb teen pop singer Justin Bieber have erned the honor of owning the most influential haircuts of 2011. American newspaper The Wall Street Journal named Emmas pixie crop and Justins swish fringe the most requested styles of the year.

The two looks have garnered a great deal of interest both in salons and on the internet. "Hairstylists are being inundated with requests, the publication reported. The enthusiasm plays out online, where the fastest-rising searches for celebrity haircuts on Google are for Ms. Watson and Mr. Bieber."

The paper noted that the two hair styles were surprisingly similar despite being for different genders. They praised Emma for bringing back the short style.

"This is more of a change for women - for whom short hair hasn't been trendy since the 90s - than for men, who may justifiably feel sheepish about asking for the cut," it reports. The 21-year-old actress famously chopped off her long brunette locks after she wrapped filming on the eighth and final Harry Potter movie last year. Emma said at the time that going for the chop was incredibly liberating. "The stylist just grabbed the back of my hair and took a whole ponytail of hair out. It felt amazing. I love it," she told Entertainment Weekly.

"I've wanted to do this since I was about 16, so as soon as I had the chance I was like, 'Right. This is it.'"
Bieber, 17, shocked many of his mostly teenage female fans when he debuted a cropped cut that made the cover of trade publication The Hollywood Reporter in February. He had previously sported side-swept bangs that framed his face.

Drew Brees record breaking brouht him appreciation from Dan Marino

The quarterback for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League Drew Brees broke the NFL's 27-year-old single-season passing record Monday night, and the feat immediately attracted a flurry of congratulatory tweets, including one from previous record holder Dan Marino. Rap star Lil Wayne also congratulated him for his success.

"Congrats to @drewbrees. Great job by such a special player," tweets Marino on December 27.
"Kongrats to Drew Brees but Aaron Rodgers is the NFL MVP hands down. Green & Yellow!!!!!!!!!!," Lil Wayne says.

Marino also spoke about Drew Brees, Most of the time, that offense, he has under such control, hes going to get rid of the ball on time, so he isnt going to take any shots. You give him a lot of credit, man. Hes been playing at a really high level for, not only this year, but for four-to-five years in a row, six years in a row, playing at a really high level. Statistically, hes maybe the best statistical quarterback in the past five years. Better than [Peyton] Manning, [Tom] Brady, [Aaron] Rodgers and everybody else.

On the record he says,  I mean, it lasted a long time, and you knew it was going to happen, sooner or later. It just goes to show you that what we did as a team, as a groupyou know, you were part of that, toowas just so special that year. Yardage, touchdowns, all those guys, [Mark] Duper, [Mark] Clayton. Clayton breaking the touchdown record, just the things we were able to accomplish. I think ESPN did a pretty good job overall with it. It happens, man.

Emily Watson in Steven Spielberg's new project "War Horse"

The Proposition (2005) and The Breaking the Waves (1996) actress Emily Watson is back on the silver screen in "War Horse" which depicts a connection between a boy and his horse that she compares to that of "star-crossed lovers." The film is derected by Steven Spielberg, who she jokes with On The Red Carpet she would have done anything to work with, including play a "meek mouse" if he asked.

But 44-year-old actress says of "War Horse" that the boy who loves the horse and the horse itself are almost like star-crossed lovers.

"I think it's such a potent combination of an animal, an innocent animal and a savage, savage war. A savage and pointless war and putting this animal into the middle of it. And an animal we've learned to love, because we've learned to love him through the eyes of a boy. They're like star-crossed lovers in a way, and we desperately want them to be together," says Watson, who plays the boy's mother. Jeremy Irvine plays the boy in question and he agrees that the stakes are that high.

"I think when this horse comes into his life, it fills the place of a brother. The stakes need to be that high for him to then go off to the first World War to try and get him back. So I imagined when he's being taken away from me, I kind of imagined what it would be like to have one of my younger brothers being taken away like that," says Irvine.

"War Horse" is now playing nationwide and has been nominated for two Golden Globes (Best Motion Picture Drama and Best Score) and seven Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.

Dido enjoyed her christmas and birthday with her new born baby Stanley

English singer-songwriter best known for his new album  No Angel (1999) Dido enjoyed a special christmas this year. Moreover her birthday has had a special gift. She is blessed with her first child, son Stanley, whom she welcomed with husband Rohan Gavin in July, reports Britains Daily Mail.

Im ridiculously excited about stanleys first christmas this year! Dido, who turned 40 on Sunday, wrote on her Facebook page before the holiday. Hope you all have a brilliant one and Im looking forward to seeing everyone in 2012.

And if the name sounds familiar, perhaps Dido, who announced her pregnancy in February on her website, was paying homage to the song that helped launch her U.S. career.

Stan is the name of the 2000 Eminem single that samples her hit Thank You. She also starred in the music video as the rappers tragic pregnant girlfriend.

Theres a real calmness about it which I think is really nice, Dido said in March about having a baby on the way. Your decisions are sort of made for you. You just have this priority that is unchangeable and I think thats a great calmness that comes from that.

Amazing Spider man and Andrew Garfielsd: on the list of 2012 blockbusters.

The Amazing Spider-Man is set for release next year and will follow Peter Parker as he gets to grips with his powers. The movie stars Andrew Garfield and his real-life girlfriend Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as The Lizard. This British actor was unveiled as the latest name to play Peter Parker and his iconic superhero alter-ego last year. Appearing in radio, theatre, film, and television his early roles  include the films Lions for Lambs, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, and Boy A, which garnered him the 2007 BAFTA Television Award for "Best Actor". He is now passing a good time with Em.  Emma Stone was recently seen with her beau Andrew Garfield affectionate with each other while shopping at Eleni's in New York's Chelsea Market.

The 2011 Oscar nominations aren't even out yet, but we're already looking forward to the blockbuster movies of 2012 including "The Amazing Spider-Man,", the new trailer for "The Dark Knight," the third and final movie in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, has already gone viral; fans are equally psyched about Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," which also has a brand-new trailer. There's plenty of girl power at the box office next year. Scarlett Johansson is back as the Black Widow in Marvel Studios' film adaptation of "The Avengers," and "Brave" features Pixar's first female lead in Merida, a young Scottish girl who wants to be a warrior. Kristen Stewart battles Charlize Theron in "Snow White in the Huntsman," and later returns (in vampire form) in "Breaking Dawn - Part 2."

Oscar snab Corey Heim could not observe his 40th birth anniversary,

Canadian actor, known for a 1980s Hollywood career as a teen idol, Corey Haim would be in 40 on December 23. But he could not do it never as she is no more in this world. The 80s child star, who starred in movies like The Lost Boys, Silver Bullet, Murphy's Romance, License to Drive, Dream a Little Dream and Lucas, died unexpectedly last March. Known as The Two Coreys, the duo became 1980s icons and went on to star in seven further movies together, later starring in the A&E reality show The Two Coreys.

Oscars Snub Corey Haim was a top 11 story of 2011 for March. Here is the recap: (TMZ) Corey Feldman is upset that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences left his good pal Corey Haim off the Oscars "In Memoriam" segment -- saying the Academy does not "have a handle on who the public adores." Feldman tells TMZ he's particularly upset since the same "public outcry" occurred after Haim was left off the SAG memorial as well.

Feldman tells us, "Corey's films have earned the industry over a half a billion dollars and his work remains an inspiration to young artists world wide ... Corey dedicated his life to the film industry. The same industry that failed to dedicate even 30 seconds to his memory." His death is really a great loss for Hollywood.

Melanie Amaro: the first American X Factor winner.

Melanie Amaro on X Factor Stage
American-born British Virgin Islands popstar Melanie Amaro won the first the The X Factor title, the first season of American television series. This victory brings her amazing $5 million recording contract with Epic Records. This 19 year-old vocalist from Sunrise, Fla., won this Fox talent competition Thursday over soulful 30-year-old singer Josh Krajcik of Wooster, Ohio.

"Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God," Amaro repeated after host Steve Jones announced her as the champion. I feel amazing that I got to do thisI just got to say thank you, the easy-listening hip hopper said when he got the hook.

We came here to find a superstar and we found a superstar, Cowell said after show host Steve Jones announced the results at the end of a two-hour broadcast that had included performances by Justin Bieber, Stevie Wonder, 50 Cent, Ne-Yo, and Pitbull. Unlike "American Idol," the contest was open to both solo singers and groups, and had a lower minimum age of 12 and no upper age limit. So it's of course a great show for the talents undiscovered yet.

A racial slur to Rihanna made the Dutch editor Eva Hoeke to resign.

"Ultimate n---abitch" is of course a racial slur for Rihanna and for this Dutch magazine editor Eva Hoeke has resigned her post. For this he also issued an apology. Hoeke, who had been with the Dutch fashion magazine for eight years, oversaw the most recent issue, which included a brief item about Rihanna's style and termed with the phrase.

"She has street cred, she has a ghetto ass and she has a golden throat," the piece read, as translated by Parlour magazine. "Rihanna, the good girl gone bad, is the ultimate n---abitch and displays that gladly, and for her that means: whats on can come off. If that means shell be on stage half naked, then so be it." After learning of the use of the racial slur, Rihanna took to Twitter to blast Hoeke and the publication.

"I hope u can read english, because your magazine is apoor representation of the evolution of human rights!" she wrote. "I find you disrespectful, and rather desperate!! You ran out of legit, civilized information to print! There are 1000's of Dutch girls who would love to be recognized for their contributions to your country, you could have given them an article. Instead, u paid to print one degrading an entire race!"

"This should have never happened. Period," the editor wrote. "While the author meant no harm the title of the article was intended as a joke it was a bad joke, to say the least. And that slipped through my, the editor-in-chiefs, fingers. Stupid, painful and sucks for all concerned. The author has been addressed on it, and now I can only ensure that these terms will no longer end up in the magazine."

Kendall Jenner: the center of attention for the show Kendell's Sweet 16.

Kardashian sister 16-year-old Kendall Jenner was the center of attention this week for the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" special "Kendall's Sweet 16." Unlike her big sister, Kendall Jenner isn't comfortable making a tremendous to-do over special occasions. In Kendall's Sweet 16 special Monday night, the fledgling model snapped when her mom, Kris Jenner, tried to relocate her birthday bash to the Bahamas.

"You're trying to make this bigger and bigger and it's embarrassing me," Kendall complained. "You're just giving me this [over-the-top party], you're just handing me this and I don't want it!"

Fortunately for Kendall, Kris backed down with the party plans and agreed to throw the teen's bash at a West Hollywood hotel. And while she did get a Range Rover from her mom and dad Bruce Jenner, Kendall insisted that in lieu of gifts, her guests donated toys to sick children at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

"For my mom to be like, 'Oh, we're going to have this huge, extravagant party,' and to think those kids can't even go to a party because they're sitting in a hospital bed, it's just really sad," she explained.

Britney Spears to marry again: ex husbands reaction.

Spears and her boyfriend and would be husband
Britney Spears  is to marry her long-term boyfriend and former agent Jason Trawick, and K-Fed, 33. they were engaged over two years Jason Trawick US Weekly told last friday. While ex-hubby Kevin Federline told Australia's TV Week magazine he was "really happy" for the mom of his two sons Sean Preston 6 and Jayden James 5, Alexander wasn't exactly thrilled about the pop star's big news.

"I know everyone wants me to be happy about this, but I am not," Alexander, who was her husband (2004) only for three days and is currently training for the World of MMA fighting competition, told Us exclusively. "I think it's fake and I think people are afraid to say it."

"If you look at all the pictures between them there is no connection," he added. "They look like they are going through the motions.  It seems like a answer to the court thing." (The singer is currently under the conservatorship of her father Jamie Spears; Trawick once served as the star's manager.) "Sort of a nice way to sew it all up she marries her handler," Alexander sniped. "That way she always has someone controlling her. It's sort of sad."

Kevin and Britney were together for just over two years before their divorce in 2006.

Heart attack ended the life of great North Korean president Kim Jong Il.

Kim JOng Il, the rulling president of North Korea, had died on December 17 at 08:30 of a heart attack whilst travelling by train to an area outside Pyongyang-reported North Korean state Television. North Koreans marched by the thousands Monday to their capital's landmarks to mourn Kim Jong Il, many crying uncontrollably and flailing their arms in grief over news of their "dear leader's" death.

North Korean state media proclaimed his twenty-something son Kim Jong Un a "great successor," while a vigilant world watched for any signs of a turbulent transition to the untested leader in an unpredictable nation known to be pursuing nuclear weapons.

South Korea's military went on high alert in the face of the North's 1.2 million-strong armed forces following news of Kim's death, after 17 years in power, on Saturday while carrying out official duties on a train trip. President Barack Obama agreed by phone with South Korean President Lee Myung-bak to closely monitor developments. On the streets of the North Korean capital, Pyongyang, people wailed in grief, some kneeling on the ground or bowing repeatedly. Children and adults laid flowers at key memorials.

Other North Koreans walked in line past a giant painting of Kim Jong Il and his late father, national founder Kim Il Sung, standing together on Mount Paektu, Kim Jong Il's official birthplace. Wreaths were neatly placed below the painting.

Kim Jong Il was the supreme leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea). He was the General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, the ruling party since 1948, Chairman of the National Defence Commission of North Korea, and the Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army, the fourth-largest standing army in the world.

A tearful Kim Yong Ho said Kim Jong Il had made people's lives happier. The funeral of dead president is scheduled for 28 December in Pyongyang, with a mourning period lasting until the following day.

Indianpolis' quarterback Peyton Manning uncertain to play!

Quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL) Peyton Manning would not be healthy enough to play for the Indianapolis Colts this season. Therefore his teammates  embraced the following rallying cry: "We're not just a one-man team,'' they would say defensively. "We've still got Pro Bowl players here. We can still win games.''

It's been over three months since his last surgery and Manning recently got news that he is progressing. Coach Jim Caldwell announced on December 14 that Manning has begun throwing the ball again. He has yet to participate in practice but throwing the ball is a step forward. Thats what he does, Caldwell said when asked about throwing the ball. They have been working with him in that area. Thats part of it, but its nothing revolutionary.

If he suffers no setback, Manning would very much be on pace to play at the beginning of the 2012 season. If he is in fact healthy, there is no doubt he should be playing for the Indianapolis Colts. Andrew Luck could also be in Indianapolis, but there is no doubt that Peyton Manning would be the quarterback.

How much more can Manning now do?
Once hes fused, hes stable to play, said Dr. Anders Cohen, chief of neurosurgery and spine surgery at the Brooklyn Hospital Center who did not treat Manning. Asked how long it would take Manning to regain the strength in his throwing arm, Cohen said: I would suspect it probably happened while the bone was knitting.

The injury has created speculation on everything from Mannings possible return date to whether he has played his final snap for the Colts. Last week, owner Jim Irsay confirmed what most people already suspected that Manning was unlikely to play in a game this seasonand its still unclear if No. 18 will be playing in Indy in 2012.

Alyson Lee Hannigan shows her bump: waiting for a baby for the second time.

'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' star Alyson Lee Hannigan is going to be a mother again, her rep confirms exclusively to Us Weekly. The actress' representative confirmed her impending and now quite obvious motherhood to Us Weekly, which shows 37-year-old Hannigan walking along, looking well-rounded. "Alyson is thrilled to be pregnant!" a source close to the star tells Us Weekly. "She's been wearing baggy clothes to cover the baby bump."

Hannigan and husband Alexis Denisof -- both of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fame, and he of "Angel" fame -- already have 2-year-old daughter, Satyana. Craig Thomas, executive producer and show co-creator, told the Chicago Tribune in 2009 that the writers just decided to make "an extra joke" out of Hannigan's impending tyke. "Why be subtle," he said.

This time, the pregnancy can just be incorporated into the storyline. In mid-May, "HIMYM" had Lily dealing with food poisoning, which, surprise, turned out to be the beginnings of a baby. Hannigan and actor Denisof, 45 have been Married since 2003.

Jessica Lynch, former private first class, is going to teach soon.

Jessica Lynch as a Soldier

Former Private First Class (PFC) in the United States Army Quartermaster Corps Jessica Dawn Lynch is about to get a teaching degree. Lynch, who was 19 at the time of the Iraq invasion, will get her education degree from West Virginia University on Friday. She completed her training as a student teacher at an elementary school in Wirt County, West Virginia, the same one she attended as a child.

Miss Lynch, who spent nine days as a prisoner of war, still suffers from leg injuries sustained in Iraq. She said: "It's tough to walk but I look at it as at least I'm walking. At least I have my legs. They may not work. I have no feeling in the left one. But it's attached, at least. At least I'm alive."

Miss Lynch, now a 28-year-old mother, was captured along with five others after her 507th Maintenance Company unit took a wrong turn and came under attack in Nasiriyah on March 23, 2003. Eleven of her fellow soldiers died. Following her rescue the US government publicised an exaggerated version of events which made the teenager seem more heroic and rallied public support for the war. She has repeatedly worked to set the record straight and in 2007 told Congress: "The bottom line is the American people are capable of determining their own ideals of heroes and they don't need to be told elaborate lies."

Sofia Vergara: not so serious about pronunciation and acting.

Colombian actress, comedian, television hostess and model Sofia Vergara laughed off her mistakes in pronouncing some of the names of 2012 Golden Globe nominees during a televised live announcement in Beverly Hills, Calif on December 15. This 39 year-old "Modern family" actress also earned chuckles from actor Woody Harrelson and journalists for the mispronouncing. "Oh my god!" Vergara told OnTheRedCarpet.com special correspondent George Pennacchio of KABC Television, the website's parent company, laughing. Vergara  made her comments to OnTheRedCarpet.com at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California, moments after she, Harrelson Rashida Jones, Gerard Butler and Harrelson announced the nominations for the 2012 Golden Globe Awards just after 5 a.m. on Thursday, December 15.
