Miss World 2011 Top Presentations for Beauty with a Purpose

The top 30 Presentations for Beauty with a Purpose finalists were announced today. Focusing on the humanitarian side of Miss World, Beauty with a Purpose aims to raise awareness and funds for charities around the world.
Top 30 Presentations for Beauty with a Purpose are (in no particular order): Barbados, Botswana, Ecuador, Ghana, Guatemala, Indonesia, Kenya, Latvia, Liberia, Malaysia, Nepal, Scotland, South Africa, Spian, Tanzania, US Virgin Islands, Zimbabwe, Argentina, Bahamas, Bonaire, England, India, Malta, Namibia, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Sri Lanka, Sweden and Thailand.
Sitting down with the presentations finalists in the Miss World 2011 Beauty with a Purpose competition was truly heart warming as each contestant was eager to share their story and raise awareness for their charities and causes. Zimbabwe spoke about the importance of clean water and sanitation, stating, "Water and sanitation shouldn’t be a privilege, it should be a right." Zimbabwe has been working to raise awareness and educate rural areas on the importance of clean water and sanitation, and when asked why she was doing this, stated proudly, "Because I can." Ghana was also eager to share her story. Ghana has been working with under privileged children living in the streets of her country. She spoke about the importance of education and improving health conditions, especially in the slums, where children are going without homes, proper care and even food.
These are just a few examples of the amazing things the contestants of Miss World 2011 are doing through Beauty with a Purpose projects. We at Miss World are so proud of all the contestants. As chairwoman Julia Morley says, 'every beautiful woman must have a purpose.'
Pictured above are just 9 of the 30 awarded top presentation for Beauty with a Purpose. From left to right, Philippines, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Spain, Indonesia, Scotland, Ecuador, India and South Africa.
